Nat Burnett
Therapy with Nat
My journey into counselling is deeply rooted in a respect for human resilience and a desire to walk alongside individuals as they navigate life’s complexities.
I am particularly passionate about supporting people experiencing:
anxiety
self esteem challenges
relationship difficulties
difficulties setting and maintaining boundaries
the ongoing impacts of trauma
I completed my Master of Counselling at the University of Notre Dame and have experience working within multidisciplinary clinics that support veterans, first responders and their families. This environment has strengthened my commitment to trauma informed care and deepened my appreciation for the courage it takes to seek support.
Having worked across trauma informed settings, I am dedicated to creating a therapeutic space grounded in psychological safety, somatic awareness, compassion, and empowerment. I view therapeutic care through a holistic lens that honours the profound connection between mind and body.
I work utilising evidence based modalities such as Person Centred Therapy (PCT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), while integrating somatic, mindfulness, and creative approaches. With a Diploma in Art Therapy, I incorporate expressive processes where helpful and I am continuing to expand my clinical skills with further training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and advanced Somatic Therapy. These approaches support clients in regulating their nervous system, exploring relational patterns, strengthening self worth, and processing trauma related experiences.
At the heart of my practice is a commitment to offering a non judgmental, soulful, and collaborative space. My hope is that clients feel safe to explore their stories, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and move toward greater clarity, confidence, and emotional freedom.
I offer individual counselling sessions as well as walking therapy for clients who prefer a more embodied, nature based therapeutic experience.
